Another pleasant surprise of my first visit was that the new doctor likes to do the second ultrasound closer to 18 weeks than 20. So instead of being able to find out if this babe is a he-babe or a she-babe on the 24th of this month, we're looking at sometime next week. So ladies and gentlemen, it's time to get thinking and cast your votes (to the left side, there). Before you vote for a girl, I'll tell you we think it's a boy. Before you vote for a boy, I will tell you that Bennett has been telling us he's going to have a little sister for about 9 months now (yes, before we were pregnant at all).
I feel like I probably should have a lot more to say about being pregnant at this point. I mean, I'm almost halfway done, for heaven's sake! But seriously nothing has happened. I have NO symptoms. No cravings, aversions, morning/evening sickness, or super-sensitive sense of smell. Nothing. I'm only barely starting to feel this baby move, and only occasionally at that! Truly there is nothing to report. I suppose that means the second half of my pregnancy is bound to be entirely too exciting, but we'll see. I'm really just hoping to avoid the crazy swelling this time around.
What swelling, you ask?
(my ankles/feet September 2009)
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!

I know what you mean about swelling! I think my thighs and my ankles were the same size for most of my pregnancy! :) So excited for you guys!!
I was so happy for you that the ankle picture isn't current. I was worried when the pic came up on my blogger page. SO happy for you! It's wonderful to find a prenatal care place that is child friendly! (You'd think there would be more of them...)
Congratulations!! And, I hope Bennett is right. It's a girl.
Yea!! So excited for you guys!! I'm gonna say...girl.
Oh Erin, I am so happy to hear you have felt so well this time around. I want to have that with one of my pregnancies, just to know what it feels like!! Also, the pic of your swollen feet takes me back to that time. You poor girl. I remember it all too well, even those very sandles you bought specifically to fit the swollen foot. :) Glad you won`t have to experience anything like that this go round.
And.... I vote boy. :)
Love you guys!
Oh, the swelling. I thought for a moment I was looking at a picture of my own pregnancy feet up there. Jeff used to enjoy pushing his fingers into my feet and counting how long it took for the indentation to go away (it was always a frighteningly long time). He would also sometimes push shapes into my feet, like a little smiley face. It's easier to come to terms with hippo ankles when they are smiling at you. Just a tip to help with any potential swelling this time around ;-)
Congrats! So excited for you guys. I sure hope you don't have the swelling like before. No fair & no fun!
That just means that your baby is going to be a calm, happy little girly. :)
