Baltimore

So we're moving to Baltimore. The job truly can't be beat, and as much as we love Saratoga, the job there just wasn't the greatest. And since this is Justin's first job, a solid start at a well-recognized firm that will give him some great mentorship and an opportunity to be a part of some really big projects will be infinitely beneficial. From there, we can go anywhere, or else, stay in Baltimore, since I have decided we will love it.

Before Justin had an interview there, my knowledge of Baltimore was pretty much based off of this:

Sounds like heaven! Every night's like a fantasy?! Every sound like a symphony?! There ain't no symphonies playing on the streets of Logan, that's for sure!

We've heard so much about Baltimore- how it's sort of sketchy, how it goes from nice to terrifying in the space of a block or so, how it's nickname is (don't read this next part, Mom!) "Bodymore, Murderland," but we've got a lot of great people there who are working to find us a good place, and we're confident we'll find a great and safe area where we will enjoy it. We'll probably end up very close to the Johns Hopkins University undergrad campus and we've made some good contacts in the area. The ward sounds amazing and honestly, there's tons to do in Baltimore. We're really excited and can't wait to try to laugh at all the bad parts and revel in the good parts, like you should do with anywhere you live! We'll be packing up a moving truck on the 16th of this month, so it's coming fast! Justin is in Baltimore right now finding us a place, and we'll have just over a week from when he gets back to get everything ready to send across the country. We'll then start our own drive across the country on the morning of the 18th. If Bennett only knew what awaits him 2 weeks from today...

So! Now that we're living in such a thrilling area of the country, we can't wait for visitors. Here's a short list of things to do. Seriously, google that last one: Bookthing. It sounds amazing and I can't wait "to go to there". Not to mention the art, the arboretum, free movies, the history, the farmers market and everything else. Also, we're only a short hour away from Washington, D.C., one of my favorite places of all time! Can't wait to see you all there!
