Sneak Peak

So the month of May was pretty exciting around here. We have done so much and Bennett has grown up so much in just one month! We moved him to a bigger carseat (past 22 lbs!) at the end of May, and he's now waving hi, "wiggle-wiggling" all the time (especially when he's excited), giving awesome high-fives, feeding himself Cheerios (and anything else) with his hands, moving all over the floor via various combinations of army-crawl moves, standing unassisted for a few seconds at a time, and on June 2nd, he started saying "Mama." Be still my beating heart! He doesn't say it intentionally referring to me yet, so I can't be too thrilled, but hearing him babble "Mamamamamamamama" from the other room still melts my heart. He also took his first steps all by himself on June 10th! A couple in a row between Justin and I! I can't believe it. He has always loved to stand and walk, and even though all you moms with walking children will laugh when I say this and think, "She's so ignorant," I am so excited for him to be able to walk on his own. It is all he wants to do all day long. I am exhausted from walking around with him all day and tired of hearing his complaining if he's not walking! I know we still have a while before he'll be able to all on his own, but I really can't wait.

I don't have a lot of time to blog about our AMAZING CRUISE that we went on last week of May, but I thought I would at least put up some pictures (couldn't get the videos to load!) from our last month of adventures! More to come....

On his 8 month birthday!

He never cuddles like this. Needless to say, he therefore never sleeps like this. I think this was the second time it has EVER happened, so I had to document it. I was all by myself at this point in Puerto Vallarta, so I had to one-arm photo myself. Not the most flattering, but look at him!

Playing in the portacrib on our balcony on the cruise.

His absolute favorite toy. He loves the (kind of obnoxious) music it plays! He will dance almost all day to it. And as you can see above, sing along, too.
