So Justin and I are big fans of Redbox. We go quite frequently. Redbox has a wide variety of movies, except, often, all the good ones. But we’ve seen some OK stuff. We did not choose to rent this movie, because it was rated R (the SOLE reason, of course), but I wanted to post it on here anyway because the genre which it falls into makes me laugh and laugh.
Asian Horror?! It couldn’t just be in the Horror genre? It’s too Asian for the typical horror enthusiast? “Usually I love that kind of stuff, but that one was one of those Asian Horror flicks, you know? Totally different than my usual stuff.”
Also, I love the cover art. If that ain't bizarre, I don't know what is.

So last night on my way home from work, I came about 1 foot from being in a 3-car accident. I was second in line in the right hand turn lane stopped at a red light when I heard screeching tires and two cars on the road I was waiting to turn on to hit each other head on. I don't know exactly how it happened, all I know is that one of the cars got deflected towards our direction and I think their brakes didn't work because they proceeded to come towards (without slowing down) and hit the back fender of the car in front of me. I was so grateful to be safe. Being in a wreck would have been a terrible birthday present. This is a picture I took from the driver's seat after I had backed up about 10 feet from the car in front of me. Scary huh?

So today is my birthday. But that's not the great part. Today, our best friends in Provo, the Dixons, had their little baby boy- Joseph Cooper Dixon! Her due date was the 9th and I have been joking with them forever about how if they had the baby on my birthday, they were allowed to name it after me. While I'm still slightly disappointed they didn't name their little boy Erin (...), I am so happy for them! Congratulations, guys!

Well... that was the final score last night as far as the good ole electoral college goes. I'm not sure how well that actual represents the popular vote, which was roughly 51-49 percent when I stopped watching. But hey. The people have spoken. While he's not the person who was my first choice for the White House, I do think it's quite historic. It is amazing to think that my parents were alive during, and probably remember pieces of the Civil Rights Movement. Sad to think it was so recently that we based so much on race. I'm proud that it's possible for an African-American to gain the Presidency, especially with 60% of his voters being white. It shows that we've come a long way. I still don't very much savor the idea of living with his policies for the next 4 years, but there's not much to be done now. Except vote for Republican Congress members.... in two years....
Oh well. Good luck to all of us. It's going to be one heck of a ride. And not necessarily in a good way. But we'll see what happens....
